Today’s prompt is about writing from a different perspective: eagle eye.
It’s easy to just write about the everyday things you see from ground level. It’s the most familiar to us. But I challenge you to try looking at things a bit differently for a change.
Use the picture of hot air balloons to put yourself high in the sky looking down. What do you see? If you are in a rural area, you might see farm fields with livestock or crops. If you are closer to a more urban setting, maybe you see cars, houses, people.
Think about what you see below as you travel on the wind. Probably the landscape changes, moving from a rural setting to a more populated setting. What are the differences or similarities? Look closely. You won’t be looking down on a boring life. Things are going on, happening. Lives are being lived, whether human or animal.
Find something in the scenery as you float overhead and write about it.
